The expert, professional staff of the Pennsylvania Flora Project are available as consultants to provide biological surveys, research, and other specialized services. We have conducted such work for municipalities, state agencies, and conservation organizations, including Montgomery and Bucks counties, and multiple Pennsylvania state parks. Work has included identifying sites that still harbor intact communities of native plants and animals, pinpointing landscapes in which important ecological functions (such as groundwater recharge, nutrient cycling, and oxygen production) can be preserved or restored, and outlining management strategies needed to promote the continuation of those essential ecological functions.

The Morris Arboretum is a unique institution with an unprecedented combination of botanical experience, technical expertise and access to field data. Today, the Botany Department continues to carry out the mission first laid out by John and Lydia Morris of providing excellence in research, education, public service and stewardship.
